Difference between SOA and OOP

I finally made up my mind that it is worth posting something about the difference between SOA and OOP. Some people seems to think that SOA will take over OOP ( off the record). This is not true. The two will continue to life together as i explain below.
Services Oriented Architecture (SOA) represents a clear shift of paradigm in the way we design software systems. In SOA the focus in on the assembly or integration of individual software modules while in Object Oriented Programming (OOP) the focus in on the implementation of the individual software modules. So SOA and OOP are not competing technology but complementary technologies. OOP is still used in the implementation of the Service components integrated by SOA.
